It's good to remember when making fruit smoothies - that any fruit you have on hand makes a delicious, healthy smoothie.
I love adding organic kale to all of my fruit smoothies for extra nutrition.
I've added a 1/2 avocado to this recipe as avocado is a healthy fat that actually contributes to BRAIN health! Who knew? I love avocados and for Mike and I - avocados have replaced cheese in our diet.
Fresh mint adds delicious nutrition to any fruit smoothie recipe (In my personal opinion)
Raw
1 large or 2 small servings
Mix all ingredients in a high power blender and enjoy!
* Cilantro naturally detoxes the body so add it whenever you can for additional health benefits. Some people hate the taste, so if this is you, or someone you cook for, substitute with fresh organic parsley and mint.
** Fresh turmeric root is anti-inflammatory, it is orange in color, small and tubular. It can be found at Sprouts in CA, and other health food stores, and Indian and Asian grocery stores.
